Today was our orientation! So the PC students that had already arrived decided we should go to breakfast at the bakery next door. I got a pain au chocolat aux amandes which was heavenly! From there we went to the orientation which lasted less than 2 hours. After orientation some PC gals and I went to the nearest Carrefour (which I like better than Monoprix because the food is cheaper) where I bought a baguette and some tasty hazelnut cookies. Then we headed back to the Monoprix and I finally found where they were hiding the trash bags! While we shopped we somehow lost track of Harley and searched the store a good 10 minutes before we found out she headed back to the apartments, at least she was safe! After my lunch of my uber soft baguette and a bit of some of the best gouda cheese I've ever tasted, I headed with everyone outside to wait for the last 2 PC students to arrive before heading to the train station to buy our metro cards for the month (or what's left of it). I then bought a carte jeune which will give me discounts on train tickets for Paris and anywhere else I want to go. After picking this up I headed back to my room and took a lengthy nap and then had dinner and watched some movies before bed. Not the most exciting day, but I got some tasty bread stuff out of it! Tomorrow is my first day of French classes so I hope I can get some of the basics down in our 3 hour class. I'm gonna bring some Oreos to keep me awake. Bye for now!
